Hi all, i ve been getting some miles on the busa, about 200 now since getting it about 6 weeks ago. The one thing i've noticed is the tank gets marked after every ride. Its not caused by zips or fasteners but the seams on my trousers ( crotch and legs) I dont like adhesive tank pads and liked the sound of the tank bra to cover the rear portion of the tank.

2 questions:

- how do they attatch ?

- do they make them in red (red black 1999 colours) ? otherwise if its just plain black then the whole tank will be black as the bra will cover up the red bit.

any thoughts ?

and before anyone suggests it................ no i wont be riding it without any trousers to avoid marking my tank

Thanks Rudely, I've just ordered 3, one for my busa, one for my 916 and one for my 999. I like the idea of static holding them on rather than a sticky glue.

I'll let you know how i get on when they arrive.

thanks again

kind regards

Well, you already bought something, but... in case anybody else reads this...

The tank bra has plastic clips that slide onto the bottom edge of the tank. Holds very well. One thing I like that surprised me is how much grip that bra gives to my legs. Never knew I grabbed the tank so much, since I'm not one to slide off the seat with a knew canted out.

Best place to get a tank bra is Oneida Suzuki for a factory bra. Good prices and good folks to do business with.

Let me know when you get em put on Id like to see what you think. I'm going to put mine on next day off.

Had a Second Look for awhile. Come to think of it, it's still up on the shelf.

Just ordered the clear protection kit. I was just thinkin about keeping my tank safe last weekend. Thanks for the Link:thumbsup:

Ok got my kit installed on the bike. Looks good. I like it alot. Not bad for under 20 bucks. three piece, back of tank and both sides installed. see what you guys think. The sides were alot harder to put on, I actually trimmed off the squared part on the lower part of the tank sides and made it much easier and still protects sides great. This is pretty neat product if you dont like the look of a regular tank pad.
