Gearing swap increased wear?

Hello, I currently have stock gearing on my gen 1 busa 17/40 and am looking to go 16/43. Would there a be a noticeable difference in chain/sprocket wear from this combo? Thank you.

Slightly, smaller front sprockets are always harder on the chain. Just keep it clean and lubed and enjoy it.
