Gas mileage

I have an 05 and I am getting about 37 mpg on my daily commute which consist of 20 miles hywy and 20 miles thru local streets. Is this normal among you guys?

That seems normal to me....the best I have ever got was 42 on the hwy.....I get around 34 or 35 around town.....sometimes as low as 32

Completely stock highway (200 mile one way) I got as good as 44. Normal riding is about 33 now, BMC street airfilter, I've gotten as low as 25 before.

My mileage keeps coming up as I get miles on the bike. Started around 36-37 MPG with 0 miles. I'm up to 42 MPG on average at 4600 miles. I've gotten as little as 25-26 MPG on some day trips.

After about 1500Mi I averaged 38-40 Mpg.

40-42 here with 1600 miles. thats taking it easy and i only weigh 150 lbs.

i drive about 25 miles freway (well, maybe 20 freeway, 5 street) and get around 40-42. but im babying it. best i got was maxing out the 50 mark.. on street only riding, i get like 25. haha

Holy cow, why is everyones MPG so low? Maybe using way too much throttle in the wrong gear, who knows, you know there is a 5th and 6th gear ha ha. I have an 04 limited and I have been getting 42 in town and sport riding. On the highway I can get 51 and well over 210 miles on a tank. I am really shocked to see everyones gas mileage so low. Maybe you all have mods. That might do it. I still have the stock cans with holes drilled thru them and a JSD-1 chip in it. I am loving it but want a better sound. Sounds like I gotta give up 10 MPG to get a better sound. Wild.

I also have a 20 mile commuet to work every day. I just went over 10,000 miles on it and I bought it last July.

i get high 30's... like 38 or so. I've gotten it down to about 26, though.

2000, 41000 miles, 40 miles each way to work, mostly 80-90 mph on the beltway in Houston, 42-43 mpg avg. That is until it was stolen last week. All stock except for a K&N.

Very little "street" riding here, mostly 100+ mi runs....if I keep it steady @ 80-90 mph...42-45mpg.
My 2 day run last month (920 mi) mostly 85 mph with some blasts up over 150...overall avg 43.2.
Took a 160 mile run yesterday, ran @ 85 most of the way, but had 40 miles of hard charging twisties..38.9 avg.

I commute 15 miles one way and on the Bandit I average 39 mpg unless I've been to the track recently and it is 35 mpg. My GSXR averages 37 mpg except when at the track, then it is 32 mpg.

I also have a 20 mile commuet to work every day. I just went over 10,000 miles on it and I bought it last July.

20 mile commute, up to 51.87mpg calculated on the highway ('busa MPG display doesn't go higher than 50, at least my 02 doesn't), generally around 37-42 depending on hand, bought it last July with 3,900, just turned 27,300 yesterday.
