Gas Dryer question

I have a dryer I bought today a Kenmore 110.76652500 and it is setup for LP. I need to convert it back to NG. Sears said I needed to buy the whole burner assembly for 220 and I called a local shop and they said there was a kit for 45 bucks(that they can't sell to a non licensed contractor) so It would cost me a total of 150 to have them install it. Any ways around this? :please:

they are as simple as an orifice change on the regulator...most of the time the kit gives you specific enough instructions to allow you to do it

Most dryers come set up for natural gas and are converted to LP. If the person that converted it was any good he would have taped the NG parts to the burner or stuck them in the console when he converted it. If they are there just put them back in.

Here's the diagram. You need #9, 15, 16, 17 on the burner breakdown. Not sure how to determine the right orfice size. Maybe the tech sheet in the console says. You could order #10 the gas valve for 100 bucks and get everything you need.

A licensed gas tech is only required when converting to LP, not when going back to NG. Although gas company policy may be different.

I bought it because of a lack of funds to buy a brand new one. I didn't know at the time that it was going to be a pain to change. I thought it was going to be no biggie. So I am stuck with it now. Thanks for you help very very much Pardini. :beerchug:
