Hey all,
I'm looking for some advice before I pull my hair out trouble shooting. I'm currently having a boost drop when I full throttle my bike. I believe it is the charge tube. Over the winter I pulled my plenum off and put it back on. I installed a bazzaz QS and the plenum didn't seem to lay right after. I uninstalled the Bazzaz and I'm still having the issue. I believe I have the charge tube is on good but it was a struggle to get on secure. The tube seems short to me but it did work at one point.
If I gradually roll on the throttle it seems fine. I have seen 10-12 psi when testing it. As soon as I hammer it, it hits around 3 psi and cuts out. I had it on the dyno and the fuel is there.....The only thing I can think is the charge tub doesn't have a good enough bite on the plenum. I bought a new charge tube but haven't had a chance to put it on yet.
Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to find the leak or other possibilities? I tried some elementary methods but they didn't help.
I would like to fix it myself but time is sparse with a family and work.
Any insight is appreciated.
