Fuel Pump Connector

Just a quick question:

I had intermittent NOT Starting bike.. Was turning and turning but no start, or would start and die off a few second after. Noticed the Fuel pump would always start when I set the key to on. Checked on the connection ...

Under the seat the is a fuel pump connection plug, I checked on it twice since I had the bike (would shut down on highway for 1-10 seconds and kick back on) and I redid the plug I saw that the ground has been having some high current as the plastic have started to change color kinda gold color... I took the connector apart and made sure each contact was a little more crimped.. But I was wondering is there like "aftermarket" connector we can use? How much current is flowing to the fuel pump in any cases? There is a 10A fuse if I am not mistaken for the fuel pump...

Nyways anyone had this problem?
