today I was riding and noticed the screen were the time is displayed had the letters FI and the FI light was flashing I got to my destination cut the bike off ate went back out started no problem also would like to mention sometimes it takes a little long to start with the choke up, help with ethier issue would be great.

You will need to pull your trouble code(s) if there are any. The code may have cleared, but may remain historic. Pulling the codes is pretty straightforward, and you can find the procedure in the service manual. Do a search for it, as someone kindly decided to share it with the .ORG.

If all else fails, stop by a dealer and ask them to check for trouble codes.

i heard that when the light flashes intermittent that it is like a OBD3 system on new car that the system is doing a check to make sure everything is working right is this ture and i beleave it might be because when the rider restarted the bike the light was off just like the OBD3 systems on the new ones is this ture really would like to know all bike techs please advise on this ]\
