Front Stand?

Hi purchased a set of stands unfortunately when lifted on the front stand to remove the front wheel for service i can not slide the front axle out because it hits the stand. (Fork stand type)

I don't have any issues taking mine off. Can you post a pic of yours?

see yellow arrows the axle hit that part and will not slide out on both sides.

Simple solution is to put a wadded rag on the stand before you lift the wheel. Axle should clear the stand. Careful not to tip bike over.

i was thinking that to but mock up some kind of wooden L shaped thing

I ended up suspending mine from the rafters in the ceiling of the garage. did the trick

These type of stands scare the crap out of me, a stem stand makes me feel better. Did you get the axle out?

I use a Pitbull stand that has two pins that go up under the bottom of the fork. I was able to get my front wheel out no problem. I'm a big fan of the Pitbull stands; really nice quality.
