front lowering strap without caliper

new here and had a real good question got a 03 and wanted to know if you could still use a lowering strap if one of your front calipers and rotors were gone for weight savings. do you think i could buy a bolt and run it to the caliper mount if i put spacer and lock tight on the side with no rotor would this be safe

Just use the stock caliper bolt and find a nut to fit on the back side. I have done it many times.

X2. If you can find a lock nut, use one. Or buy a grade 8 bolt and get a lock nut for it instead.
