Front Forks Screw Up?

Look at my front forks done by a local motorcycle shop, does this look right? They have leaked since I picked up the bike.

What did they do to them? Seals, service or springs?

I think Balls something is the brand, and they were leaking so I had them replace the seals and fresh fluid, but I've never seen a spring on the outside of the fork seal.

That is correct. And your seal is actually under that. If they used Allballs brand that's actually a good company to deal with. Looks like they just didn't get everything seated well.

I don't see anyway for that to go from the oil seal where it belongs and pass through the dust seal to end up there. Someone didn't have a clue as to what they were doing.

It's just the brand of dust seal. All my mx bikes are like that. That's the way it should look. (For that particular dust seal)

Nearly every off road setup is like that, so it shouldn't have any problems holding up on the street. My guess is his mechanic should have hit the oil seal one more time with the seal driver.

Fail,,
Bring it back and insist that they use OEM or return your money!
