FRONT FORK SPRING MODS

LOOKING FOR PROGRESSIVE SPRING MOD OR SUPPLIER,ALL I CAN FIND ARE OHLINS AT 3500$$ FOR FRONT AND REAR.
REAR OHLINS IS A POSSIBILITY,BUT LOOKING FOR NEW SPRINGS FOR FRONT/

There are several different options that I am aware of:

1) Race-tech springs and Gold Seal valve kit. There is a noticable reduction in dive and better control overall with the correct spring (for your weight and riding style) and a re-valve, and the parts should be in the $250 territory (assuming that you do not need seals or other parts).

2) The Ohlins front spring set. Again, a stiffer spring helps but this spring is only available in one rate and may not be ideal for your weight and riding style.

3) Lindemann Engineering can turn your forks into a "poor-mans" copy of the Ohlins Street and Track forks. For about $1060, LE will re-valve, re-spring, reseal, anodize the sliders and coat the tubes with TiN. LE claims that their rebuilt forks are better that "everyone else's", though a comparision in "Roadracing World" (I think) concluded that the Ohlins we still perceptibly better.

Good luck,

Mike

There is a GMD computrac chain that tune suspensions. Check with the local race track. I have seen the Ohlins for closer to $2500 if you look around. Guys at the track have told me they spend around $2k for a revalve and a rear shock.

race tech is junk. unless you ride a dirt bike.

GP Suspenion will set you up.
or
Circuit One.
ether one can do it all , revalve, respring front or rear.
It will be like riding a different bike.

i have ohlins springs in the front and an ohlins shock in the back with the macthing rate i love it. i got the shock for little over a grand, with my spring rate on it. look around more. are you looking for cartrigdes or full on forks?

Look at www.traxxion.com. I had them revalve/re-spring the front end. I'm 275, but the bike is now much more forgiving, and doesn't bottom out. I also went with an Elka triple in the rear which is very nice. The bike is very stable in sweepers now, whereas before it wallowed a bit.

now i just got to find out how to do it hayabusa has inverted forks can not find out if i need to do more because of that dont want to break apart till i know errr any ideas anyone

I had Kent at Race Tech, Elijay, GA rebuild my forks, and set to my hieght/weight. I don't believe the Race Tech upgrades I got are junk (as stated above). Better than Stock, and cheaper than Ohlins. Kent has the Computrac computer analyzer machine at his place. PM me for Kents number.

I had LE do my front forks on my track bike('03 GSXR1000). I'm way too heavy for stock springs so it made a HUGE difference.

Find out who the regional/local suspension guys are go through them would be the best idea. Nice thing would be to have someone do it near by so you can have them set the sag for you too.
