I know I can look it up....but Im feeling lazy......

I would like to know on a standard front and rear sprocket, How many teeth are on there...

If I wanted more pickup....Which way would I go to add or remove from the front or the back...

Input need...

17/40 is stock

go with 16 front....then if you want more go 42 in rear.

17/38 would give me lower hwy rpm, right? I know it wouldn't get up and go as fast, but I'm lookin to improve fuel econnomy. I ride about 500 miles a week, so I'd like a tank to last more than a couple days. . .

If you go 18 up front, your chain will be happier. Chains don't like small sprockets, so play with the rear one to suit. I run 18/40, but having a turbo makes tall gearing a moot point---.
