Check the date stamp on the tires if you take part in this sale I know a guy that just bought a tire and it wore out in less than 2 30min sessions at the track then he checked the date stamp it was over 3 years old

Don't waste your $ on the Diablo. I got 2400 miles out of the rear & cord exposed. No burn outs, just riding. It seemed to take a little longer to heat up than the Michelins. Grip was good once warmed up.

Date stamp FYI:

all tires have a "branded" stamp.. (recessed letter/numbers as opposed to raised)...

the code you are looking at is the last 4 digits.. they relate to week/year of manufacture.

IE: 2508 (25th week of 2008) I personally like to keep this under 1 year if possible but have no idea if this is ideal or not..

Track tires and street tires are 2 different animals (hence the LARGE price variations)

I do not (nor have I) run the Diablo Street tire (they are labeled as Diablo Street) so can not say how they wear...

Tire reviews I could find on this tire: (not that they really mean much, reviewers are always subject to what I call the "Star struck" review... suck up to maker syndrome..
