fork seal bushings

I am attemting to replace my fork seals myself. I have managed to get them apart by the help of some of the info on the org here. But the question is about the metal bushings inside the outer fork tube. There is two of them in each fork. One right behind the oil seal and the other further down the tube. This is to make contact with the inner tube in two spots an reduce the pressure on the oil seal. The bushings seem a bit sloppy to me, and I do not see new ones offerd to purchase and prees the old out and new in. So my question is do they need to be replaced? If they do where would I buy them? And how would I know the clearances are two much? Any help at all would be appriciated. I see I can buy the whole outer tube with these bushings allready in it, but they are expensive!!

Good question my last bike a Kaw you could change them,I looked at manual and parts list looks like we may have been screwed on this one 280.00 outer tube .I hope that is not the case..
