Yeah, almost bought an 81 but didn't like the color. The 82 was identical, only white. Sold my 82 with 106,000 miles on it. I suppose it's still running. My 79 will be forty years old next year and it blue books higher than my 06 Busa LE! Benelli had two smaller sixes and Kawasaki came out with a bigger water cooled shaft drive six that had a higher top end but was way slower to speed than the CBX. The engine's ugly too!

A guy in Bismarck, ND where I live has 19 CBX's. He actually has about $4 million worth of motorcycles, from the 50's up to modern. It's called Mitzel Motorcycle Collection. Pretty cool collection.

Wow, nineteen! That's 114 cylinders, 114 carburetors and 456 valves!

I know the guy who took this video of Andreas' hand fabricated 12 cylinder CBX. He's a former road racer and one helluva engineer. He fab'd the whole bike, aluminum tank, fairings, twin oil coolers, frame and Siamesed two motors together.
