For those that have replaced rear shock...

1996 GSXR 1100

Just wondering what is involved?? I have most of the common tools and rear stands. Is that enough to do the removal?? or do I need some specialized tools??

While making my way to replacing the rear shock( with Penske Unit), what other items are good to replace? Its getting up there in age. I have to get a new rear rotor as well anyways.

i replaced my gsxr 1000 rear with a penske, it's pretty easy imo

you'll need basic tools, front stand, and a way to hold the back of the bike up that allows the rear suspension to relax. On my gixxer it took me an hour or two and I had never done it before. Really easy to do.
