Has been and will be a lot of "first rides" on a Busa, would like to hear what went through your Mind when you took that First ride.

my first ride on the busa was when I bought it...
I had to ride it (over 100 mile's) back home...
I rode a katana (that I had bought last year untill I could aford the busa.) to the dealer for a trade in on the busa.
well getting to the 1st ride... I had rode my friends ZX-11 before and thought it was going to be like that... well when I pulled out of the parking lot... I got my first feel of the fuel injection. ( man I love that response it has )
after I hit the interstate and felt the power it had
I couldn't wipe the grin off my face for the rest of the
trip!!! now I cant wait till its broken in to get the full
effect!

Just hold on tight the first time you slam the throttle open. Be careful!
Before I bought mine I rode my friend's Busa. Was a little scared at first, but after cruising around for about 15 - 20 minutes...I was bringing her up to 150mph without hesitation. Remember that hesitation means uncertainty. That was also the turning point in my life and the decision was made to buy the Busa.

I was like, "I'll wait at least before a week before riding it." I had the dealer load it on my truck. It actually took about a week before I got the nerves to take it out on the streets. At that time, I only had about a month of riding experience.

I rode a friend's down the street and back (his was a modified racer) almost came off the back the first time i twisted the throttle. So half way scared I cruised it down the street a ways and bought it back and parked it. (figured no reason to take a chance on wrecking his bike) Loved it, and went out and bought one :-). But hey I had wanted one every since they first came out.

My first ride on my busa was after a 4 1/2 hour tip to get it. I started up the bike pulled out into the street and smoked the back tire(got to git the glaze off). Then smoked my little brother on his ZX-9 all under 100 miles. You have to brake them in right!!!!
3000 miles later(most 1/4 mile at a time) still running strong.
I was very nervious. I the day I went to pick up my bike I was racing a storm. The storm won and I had to ride 45 mins in a down pour to get it home. Once the roads dried up and I was able to ride it without worrys of new tires and wet roads I was in heaven. What a rush this bike is.

When I saw the speedo sweep past 195, I knew it was only a matter of time!

I sold my CBR900 to get my Busa. When I took the test ride the sells man from the dealer was riding a CBRXX. We both hit and the Busa was just gone. The excelleration was incredible,can not wait to rehab my shoulder so I can ride again.
i got off of a chopper and bought busa,first real sportbike i have owned,excluding rz350 yamaha,
had to get used to riding position ,i was real careful after mechanic who helped me load in truck said "do not,do not ,open it up in 1st or 2nd gear for a while"
have 25k on it now,still not bad advice.(eats up all my tires)
