Well she's finally broke in and had the first service! On the way home tried some roll on wheelies all around the rpm curve in first and couldn't do it, even tried bouncing the front. I'm 6'2" 260lbs, what the heck can I do? Just kinda skiddish about slippin the clutch, I also have a banshee and can ride wheelies all day long but i still have two back tires on the ground. Any advice or input? If you're talkin slippin the clutch give me a bit of advice please, never had to do it on my banshee! Oh, almost forgot I even brought it up to 165mph on the trip home!!!!!!!! HOLY SH*T

Hey.....we're twins....I have a Banshee too.....big bore kit, 6 over swingarm 2 over axle, Toomey's.......and that type of crap......they are awesome wheelie machines, but absolutely nothing whatsoever compared to the Busa.
I just take mine up to between 7 and 8 grand and then crack it open......front end comes up like nothing at all.......if I'm feelin comfortable I'll ride it out through second too.
I weigh 250.

my banshee's got toomey's,ported,polished,v-force reeds, degree key,Vito's power jet carbs, reed spacers, billet impellar, hinson clutch.........all the goodies too! But ya, there nothin compared to the busa. I'll try that again between 7-8,000 rpm's;)

shouldnt tak etoo much work, i'm 275-280 and i can do it just rolling it on in first, just roll a littl eharder at about 6grand, try scooching back on the seat a little

I'm no wheelie pro but mine comes up all the time, stock, in 1st and sumtymes 2nd if I'm hammering it. Had mine for 3 months now and I think it wheelies even easier nowdays, or maybe I fear that throttle less now. now I have to work to keep it down. I weigh 180. if I wanna bring it up, I sit back a little, roll off, roll on hard and - POP!

Make that triplets.
98 Banshee
Cool head, ported, case slightly ported, Hot Rods Crank and rods(stock dimensions) toomey t5's, vitos 28mm carbs, v force reeds, k and n., and one smoked clutch.

As far as wheelies.  I do not yet have the technique to roll ons.  I must clutch them up.  Do em in 2nd gear, and jam the throttle open and then give the clutch a slip the same as you do on your banshee to get it in the powerband.  Try it easy at first then start hitting it harder to keep from flipping.  By the way it takes ALOT get that sucker up.  I am still working on getting them down with the bus myself.  It was easier on the r1. What was your last bike?

I see a trend here......the boys that ride the baddest bike also ride the baddest quad......in my opinion anyway.......660 Rap and 700 Kaw just won't do it for me.....I gotta be on a 2 stroke.

Oh yeah......my  Busa second gear roll-ons with ease also.....as long as it's over 6k.

I put a 43 tooth on the rear and I can roll em up in third If I hit it hard, but 1st and 2nd are no problem.

You might be on to something there. The banshee is the ultimate fun machine. So what if it does not handle like a 250r, or putt up hills like a raptor or 400ex. It's FUN FUN FUN. On off throttle, tire spinnin, wheelie pullin, clutch burnin, donut doin, one wheel ridin(hence the screen name), roostin, rock throwin, mud skippin, rev happy, blue smoke blowin, pipes a singin, oh jeez I'm gettin carried away again.

All I do to get it up easy is roll-off at around 5500-6000RPM in first or second then roll-on hard and quick. She comes up quick and easy, every time. Shouldn't require any clutching, or goofy bouncy around of the forks, just roll-off and roll-on quick...

What are your guys techniques for shifting into 2nd+ while up in first... I haven't tried to kick it into 2nd yet but would like to try.

Mine is barely broke in and it does in fact come up if you roll off, roll on anywhere around 5-6.5K but it does not come up as easy as my 954RR or ZX12R did. My 954RR was much easier actually to the point of being difficult to keep down. I actually prefer that the Busa not come up so easy so that it does not happen when you do not want it to. And besides its hard on the drive train and I have no reason to hot dog. The bike speaks for itself. Leave the antics to the punks and those that can afford to repair their bikes when they dump them. I like my bike too much and I know better.

Oooh, who am I kiding. A little wheelie now and then is kind of fun. Just be careful.:)

Technique I use for second is to have it up fairly high so it doesn't drop when ya click second then grab the clutch fast and shift....and right back on the throttle again

I did find it's way easier to shift clutchless.....but don't do that much......might be hard on the old girl.

Clutchless shifting does no harm at all... just learn the balance point in first, back off the throttle and bang it into second at the same time ( cover your back brake! )

i can get mine up in 1st and second, but it seems that it comes down just as quick as it come up. I think tha ti am subconciously letting off the throttle a bit cuz i am a scardey. I never even got the whell up on my 1 st ( CBR 600 ) But then again i have just started riding. I think i am just scared....

CLUTCH?

Careful with hittin the back brake while the fronts 4 feet in the air.......hit it too hard and you'll come down like a ton of bricks and send the front fender through the fairing.......especially if yer bikes lowered.
Havn't done this on the Busa yet.......but my cousin did on a zx9.
Didn't even hit the brake......just came down a little on the hard side......."nothing crazy though"......and smashed the front fender.
The bike wasn't lowered.
