hey guys im having a debate with a friend of mine who thinks the stock trap speed of an R1 is higher then the stock trap speed of the busa. is this true? whats the highest youve seen a stock busa trap?

I hope you are not betting on the Busa... Starting about 03-04 the Liter Bikes will out MPH the Busa in the 1/4. Let me see what I can find.

I ran a 9.97@ 139.39 mph on my 2005 Busa and I think like a 10.2 or 10.3 @ 145mph on my 06 Gixxer 1000... Consistently I was getting slower times on my gixxer, but higher mph. Hope it helps. The difference was I could never get a good launch on the gixxer... or atleast not as good as I could on the busa

It is amazing what 3 inches of wheelbase will do. Even 1/2 inch for that matter.

stock? wow. but about 140ish is the highest i have seen on mine when it was stock power.

The new R1 is a total turd ! maybe gix 1k, but they are so hard to ride, they are no fun, i had a 02, and it would out mph the busa, but was so inconsistent, and a nightmare to launch on a stock wheelbase, ill keep my busa, thanks
