Fastest man made object ever!

NASA has been working on the Eugene Parker Solar probe for a while now. It was scheduled to launch this morning but the mission was scrubbed until tomorrow. Once underway, it will become far and away the fastest man made object in history thanks to some serious gravitational slingshot action. It should hit 700,000KPH (430,000MPH) and will calmly cruise through the outer atmosphere (Corona) of the Sun collecting data about solar winds and other info they haven't been able to gather until now. Cool science stuff!

Best part of this is the orbital profile needed to get up to that kind of speed. 7 total flybys of Venus to progressively accelerate it over several years. That's playing a long game!
