not sure "why" or "how" he learned that but it is certainly faster than pulling the outside of the pulley off the generator.,.. Wonder how many times he has shot that screw driver across the shop..

now, what I want to know is how to check belt tension so he can pull the shims out..

well since the vw prob had about 17 hp, i imagine it didnt matter much that the belt is that loose
