No thankyou for making the opportunity possible. I stayed with stock spring because there is only a 0.4kg difference from sugested replacement spring. Gen 1 spring is 13.1kg Gen 2 is 14.5 an upgrade of 1.4kg.Wow! I was actually going to tear that one up just to see what was inside. Thanks for doing the work and posting!
Thankyou Miguel you sent me down the path after reading your posts about rebuilding Gen1.did some sanding with son's sand paper grinder will use another sanding wheel tomorrow but you get the idea.Glad it worked out and is back together! I think you’ll be happy!
As long as you have all your fingers I'm good with it! lol!As you can see i decided not to buy the Motion Pro spring compressor which saved $134 and since hopefully only doing this once no need.
Think it was 8k Fallen would no better my memory is not what it use to be. Nothing was wrong with it except old oil. Fallen changed to Ohlins & Gen 2 is an upgrade from my Gen 1. Half inch longer, higher spring rate 14.5 & I simply can not leave things alone. How many miles on the shock before it was rebuilt? Is this the first rebuild? What condition was it in seals, oil, etc?
Thanks!
cheers
