I suspected something like that was possible. If you already have an external I can see why you would want to stay that way. If you were building something I would consider building the fuel cell to accept a stock pump assembly that way you could have the fuel level sensor also. As to the external, I would just check with Schnitz Racing and see what they recommend for your application. Shouldn't be hard to find one to cover your hp level.
In run a walbro 225 did a lot or research and felt it was a reliable high flow fuel pump that was good for E85 when I make that transition. I’m sure it’s all preference a lot of people run Bosch 044.
