Exhaust valve on a 06 gsxr 1000 ???

I just had my buddy purchase a 06 GSXR 1000 and i was wondering about the exhaust valve with the cables going to it .I am going to install a slip on exhaust system on it and it says to remove as per owners manual and since i don't have an owners manaul i need to know before i attempt this if this is simple or not ..Thanks all ....

There is a screw on the outside of the frame, and one on the inside. Then you have to unplug it. What ever you do dont disconnect the cables and turn the bike on.
