I know nothing about turbos. I assume this is normal or has something to do with balancing? This looks odd. The turbo is tight with no play. Anything to worry about here?
If it were mine I would have the turbo seals replaced and make sure the oil discharge is clocked correctly. I would also check for excessive blow by bit I’m a turbo car guy so.......... I’m sure others will chime in soon
the grinding on the "nut" is for balancing
btw you need that crack fixed on the gate pipe. that was how Mike used to do it, but not the best for strength
