Escort 9500i radar detector

If you notice to the right of the ignition switch is a mixxer box.  I plug the detector into that along with my ipod and from there to ear speakers.  When the detector goes off it comes in the left ear speaker and overides the music.
I´m looking for a good wireless option. I tryed using headphones, but they would dislodge them selves around 120mph(all on a closed course officer

).

All the wireless systems I have seen so far have been too cumbersome.

I am hoping any additional connections at the battery are fused right there. I was in a govt car once wired by one of my fellow "techs", where he pulled 12 volts from the fuse box located up in the firewall, (left foot area) he didnt fuse it, and it hit ground somewhere around the glove box. Were going down 64 east into Norfolk doing about 65 when along the whole dash a line of white smoke pours out from under and generally obscurs our view. It got real exciting for a few seconds. It burned all the insulation off the wire, and then it eventually parted.

Go to "www.legalspeeding.com" and check out the H.A.R.D. system. I have used this system for years and it works quite well.

Aaron will take good care of you!

Took your guys advice and increased the wire side to a 16 gauge wire and now it has the correct voltage and works great.

Lesson learned....the hard wire kit for the escort 9500i is to small a wire and does not carry the correct voltage through the thin wire. Make your on wire kit.

Thanks guys and enjoy the pics.
Just bought one and want to hook up.
What's the wiring layout - which one is pos & which one is neg?

Also - what's your source for the mixer box - can i get more details on it?

Thanks

With the outrageous prices for all the remote alert systems, I am putting one together this weekend (parts should be here in the AM)

It will have five 1 watt hi power LED's and mount to my Puig DB at the very top..

I will post photos and results later in week...

also, I wish I could have more control of the volume on the radar detector. The only down side

I like the mixer I have because I can reach up and turn the volume down at the box, With gloves on. Works great for toll booths, ect.

My Radar just started the resetting itself off and on sporadically, I really dont know how to get rid of it... I was thinking the detector was packing it in, do you think there might be a short??

more like an "open" power is getting interrupted most likely..

also, I found the issue with the i9500 and the false "laser" trips... The power source from the bike is so dirty that it is firing the "laser alert" circuitry..

Now what I need is something to clean up the 12v power to the detector... any automotive audio guys have a solution that is "bike" friendly?
