What I don't understand is what kind of disinterested senior management must be in place for stores like circuit city to fail?

There's one here in the area, perfect location, good looking store, and it's right on a busy retail street just a few blocks from a booming Best Buy... Prices are largely competitive, but they have no business...

Probably because what you are looking for ( that they advertised as on sale) is never in stock.
