electrical short

hi, i have a 2001 busa which is blowing ignition fuses
i've ripped the whole bike apart re-soldering connections and generally looking over the complete wiring harness but i can't find anything
when fuse is replaced the fuel system pressures up normally but sometimes and only sometimes the starter won't turn- you can hear the fuel pump running but no starter- the next time i try it it will start up but blow the ignition fuse in 2-3 minutes
can anyone shed some light for me???

these gremlins are always a nightmare. Alot of peaople end up cursing their harnes and swapping in a new one. All I can say is check everything. Check all the sensors, all the fusses, all the coil sticks, all of the relays, then start testing each wire from connector to connector. It's long and frustrating but you can always chase it down in time.

By ignition fuse, do you mean the one in the fuse panel under the upper inner? Check the fuse, left side under the seat and make sure it is seated.
