It's a stock GSXR1000 titanium pipe connected to a Yoshimura 4-2-1 header. I like to be different, lol.

Couple pictures from yesterday. Love bug season hit down here so washed the bikes and applied DipCoat to the busa. I wrapped the muffler guard on the fiddy with 2x2 real carbon fiber.

Here's a video of how easy bugs come off plasti-dip. Bug was on there for 2 days and only used water and a paper towel to remove it.

2 month update. I've put ~1500 miles on the bike since dipping, 2nd wash last night. The first 3 pictures of the tank is to show the wear before I washed it. It actually looks cleaner in the pictures, but it was filthy in person. Rest are after washing it. The only flaw is there's a stain in the dip as you can see and it wouldn't wash off. Other than that, it's holding up great in the rain, shine and cold weather.

Decided to remove the dip. No real reason behind it, just started thinking about it at work and when I got home I fixed myself a drink and did it. Not sure how long it ended up taking, but I did talk on the phone some. I remembered to set the GoPro to do a time lapse for kicks. One thing nice is it was dirty and even a little muddy, when I peeled it off I had a clean bike. Gave it a wax and been riding it since. It's weird for my knees to slide against the tank again, it's also a pain to remove the hump now since it's so slippery, lol.
This thread definitely won't be lacking pictures, haha.

Here's the only 2 spots where the dip rubbed through. Couldn't ever see it till I removed the seat.

Green was fine and kinda cool, but like the silver way better. Front finder looks good too.

Green was good, I liked it. Only thing I didn't like was when people called the bike a ZX14 or just flat out didn't recognize it as a Hayabusa, lol. I have a feeling spring will bring another dipping project for the bike. Just not sure what color yet. I dipped the Raptor in Light Blue, worked out good because it almost matches stock mustang's Grabber Blue. As of now I sort of think that'll look good on the busa as something totally different and stands out.

How many coats of plasti dip did you put on I did a few parts using the dip on my other bike and decided to remove it but it was a difficult job i am assuming you have to put on 4 or 5 coats with this stuff ?

I lost count on coats, I'd guess 4-5. I only purchased a gallon and from the previous bike dip, I knew it was barely enough. Ideally would have been nice to have an extra pint and it'd been perfect. But it all came off fairly easy more the most part. For the places that were a pain, I just rolled the bike out an sprayed them with Goo Gone, let it sit for 5 min and hit with the pressure washer. Another option would to just remove the fairings to get it off, but I was being lazy, lol.

Totally agree! Was a nice change, but charcoal/silver looks so much better.

Spring will bring a new dip color... Any suggestions?

The bike is well done sir. I wou;d be the first one to say that green sucks, but that bike looks great green or silver

Thank you! Sad as it is to say, I'm already thinking about the next color. I've had the charcoal/silver for almost 6yrs, I just crave something different. If I can get the cash together, I may order some China plastics for the spring. Who knows that's a long way to go right now.
