ECU Swap?

I'm sure it's been asked but I can't find it in the search. Can I swap my ECU from my 2001 for a newer one so I can flash it? Your input is greatly appreciated!

Yes you can, 02 to 07 as they are the same. I don't know the exact details but you'll need a couple other parts, and I think the stator is one of them.

you have to switch flywheels i just had that problem i put a 04 motor in my 01 bike and had to swap ecu because the factory 01 flywheel has 8 teeth for the crank sensor where 02 to 07 has 24 teeth for the crank sensor other than the flywheel swap it plugs right in no other changes needed in my case

It's a 2001 that I bought in 2002, it was a little too much bike for the guy. I got it bone stock and did the add ons myself. It came from Toronto.
