Ecu and gauges

I am wanting to remove my factory gauges to mount my delay box and was wondering if the stock ecu needs to see the factory gauges. I am also running an sb6 box.

I am also scanning the wiring schematic to put idiot lights in. any help could be appreciated

There is one plug that goes into the back of the cluster, my gen2 runs fine with it disconnected. I don't ride it around like that but I've rode it with it off when working on the bike with no problems.

Yeah the bike runs fine without gauges. I have ridden my Gen1 without gauges also. NOT on public roads though

I probably shouldve gotten a delay box but I just put in a switch for the lights.

Make sure you keep the dash and the connection so you can still run the service mode to pull any codes and adjust tps.

I moved my gen II without mine.. unplugs real easy.. no issues.

I wonder if you can get to all of that with the ECU editor.

The OP is talking about a delay box for drag racing.

It should be fine without the gauges in but would leave the plug there just in case
