Is it worth saving the extra cash and buying a swingarm on eBay or a used one? I've found a few for $400 compared to new at $1200. 4-6" over if it matters
Idk? They say you get what U pay 4..... if it ain't a trusted brand name swingarm I wouldn't do it. No telling how it was welded together or materials used. With that being said I bought a used +6 swingarm on here from an established forum member. Got it 4 a great price and had it on my doorstep in no time with no hassle. Check on classifieds or with a few sponsors they may be able 2 get you a deal on a new 1
If you don't need all the bells and whistles of a DME or McINTOSH Alumipro(I had an Alumipro, nicest arm out there and about $1,600),I have several friends running Evil arms(about $600 with chain guard)and are pretty satisfied(one has made about 250 passes on a 1507[non-underbraced]with absolutely no issues).
Yeah Evil's not a bad compromise. I know a lot of grudge racers that run their arms. I would definitely spend the xtra$$$ and get an underbraced arm just 4 that xtra security. I bought 1 of their chain guards and fitted 2 the swingarm I bought off here. They have good prices and ship fast
