This time of year it's wet as it's spring going into summer between December and March. often the weather then is warm and more settled , awsome riding weather. june/August is colder /wet as it's our winter. I ride all year round so am used to it. this weekend just gone I did roughly another 1000kms .Auckland to Taihape to Napier to Auckland . still to get camera to work properly . did the " Gentle Annies"road , Napier to Taihape .

I was only 8 at the time. only road I can really remember was the tunnel heading to lyttelton.
Lots changed since the quake in 2011, most of city destroyed . slowly getting rebuilt
Sad to hear that man! There was actually a big flood in Christchurch when we lived there in 1972. Rebuilding takes time.
True. I remember the flood as I went to Burnside High in 1977. what's it like over there?
