SNELL is the way to go...!
Or ECE...few helmets are Snell rated now.
Here’s a pretty good comparison between the three major testing procedures. DOT is the only federally mandated test. All my helmets have been DOT and Snell. Haven’t had an ECE tested helmet but their tests seem to exceed both DOT and Snell.
