I have a Belgium Malinois and want to buy a side car and have him ride in it. my buddy is a world class fabricator and can do anything and I'm sure a lot of this wud have to be custom made. just lookn for some ideas or links to side car websites to get started.

my dog is about the size of an average sized German Shepherd at 80 lbs. will likely get to 85-90 lbs since he's only 14 months.

keep in mind my bike is stretched about 8-10 inches out and lowered. rear shock is adjustable tho.

any ideas?

Good looking dog. Seems I seen someone here that had a busa side car. Think they were made in Britain. Can't for the life of me remember the manufactures name.

good looking pup! Remember to protect his eyes, they get damaged from small particles just like ours do. An articulating side car is the easiest to get used to but it is much more complicated. I have seen one around this area on a Connie but not on a Busa. Not sure it was a kit or a custom.

Ill see if my friend still has the pictures of a Gen 1 in yellow with matching side car . It is located in Houston so maybe can find more info .

thanx guys. he's actually a K9 in training and hope to work him later this year. I will be taking over the K9 unit this year I'm told as the commanding officer. I bought him specifically to work. he is NOT a pet lol and he was not cheap lol. his drive is thru the roof but he's very clear headed and sociable and zero dog aggression thank god. he comes from some very hardcore KNPV blood lines.

yes I have already looked into the Doggles arch thanx. any pics u guys have to give me some ideas wud be greatly appreciated.

here is his father....

Merlin sidecars are the UK manufacturer that I think nosbig was referring too (http://www.merlinsidecars.co.uk/)

It's not a busa, but one of my friends and co-workers up here has side car dogs. Barley had of 50k miles and passed away several months ago so Peter is in the process of training a new dog. He rides BMW adventure bikes but I'm sure would be more than happy to share his experiences and give advice on training. He gave a presentation on sidecar dogs at the BMW MOA national event in Billings July 2015. http://travelswithbarley.com/

Ive been lucky enough to see a few Merlin sidecar's in person and can confirm that they are built to an amazingly high standard. I'd love to own one myself!
My favourite memory of one was seeing a Suzuki Bandit 1200 sidecar outfit pulling away from outside a motorcycle shop, leaving a black rubber strip as it smoked it's rear tyre (195/50/15 car size). Not really big or clever,but it made me smile.:) That should be .."smoked it's rear tire.." for most of you's on here.:) Im English.

Hi, I rang merlin only 2 weeks back about their F2 sidecar outfit for my busa. Price was circa £20k.

There is also this german manufacturer I found;

And this, for when the time comes........

I bought this last year;

for £2400.

Or there's this guy who makes them for the road;

Spoke to him at length. Very knowledgable and helpful.

looks like the bike has to be permanently modified to work so unfortunately that won't work for me. I will have to have somthn custom made then I guess

I've never actually driven a side car, but from what I'm told they handle like pushing a wheel barrow full of water. Might be worth trying to find a test ride of one before going all in on one. Best of luck either way!
