Going to install new dog bones on bike,,,whats the best way to install them bad boyz? Search is a no go.

I put the bike on the rear stand, removed the rear wheel and then removed the links. Nuts were kind of tough, but I used a torque wrench to remove them. Just the reverse for the new ones. No problems. Good luck.

DOG BONES??? Ruff,..Ruff,..Ruff!!! OKAY,........bad joke........sorry.

put the rear on the stand, take off hump , put a strap around sub-frame located under the hump and cum-a-long the weight of the bike up( we used the cum-a-long over the garage main I-beam )....this takes the weight off the suspension so you can adjust the height of the bike up or down for the bones installation. Exhaust= from where the mid-pipes start, on back, will need to be removed also.

What Warputer said.
That's the easy way. If you have a Baxley or similar front wheel chock, it will help!
I use a set of tie down straps to lift the bike, 1 click at a time.

Bike on stand car jack under shock takes about 15 minutes might have to remove the right side exhaust to get at bolts which will take another 10 minutes. Piece of cake.
