Does your front wheel have to be straight when using a fork stand ?

Just curious .
I was thinking can you put the bike on front stand with wheel turned left so you can still use steering lock ? Is that safe to do ?
Or does it have to be straight for some physics reason I can't figure out ?

The wheel must be as strait as you can get it. Turning it enough to lock the steering is asking to find your Busa after it falls over.

Had the same issue. Roadlok solved it.

I figured as much and always do have it straight. Also figured as you say it would fall somehow.
Just have never left it on both for long and when I do I put the NY Krypto lock on it .

Only curious is all.
Wanted to confirm my first impression when the little guy inside said 'R U Fn nutz !'

Saiid ...like the others said...get a Pit Bull triple tree lift...they have 2 components and lift very easy compared to the fork lift...and then you can also work on forks and get to components on the lower forks and fenders without interference from the stand...It is the word...2hip
