Do you use convex mirrors on your bike?

Do you use convex mirrors on your bike, if you do what size is it and where do you position it on your regular mirror? Top left, bottom right? I'm assuming you went with the small paste on type. Just got a set in the mail from a friend

I used them on a panel van once. You should be going top or bottom outside edge.

I used them on my Suzuki Katana. I placed them on the top, outside corner of each mirror. I don't use them on the busa.

Consider it a safety items. Couple bucks at the auto parts store to get these. Can't ride a bike without them. Essential in boulevard traffic / commuting.

I have always wanted to put some on. But it just looks so wrong on there. The internal conflict continues! :banghead:

doesnt look wrong if it gives you peace of mind

Tim, thats a great pic by the way, you have some great roads to ride:thumbsup:

Been thinking about them, and your post reminded me. Good to look before you make the move, but I think they're a great safety item.

I use them on mine. I put them on the top out side. I did it for the safety thing. I always look to see what is around me with way. Just a habit I guess

Exactly where Pashnit did in pic above. There is a blind spot without them (but I normally look by turning my head regardless...)

Have thought about these several times. Seemed the size wouldn't do a lot. Do they really help?

From my dunce stool :cookoo:

I run them too. I have the ones like Tim has on his bike but I have mine mounted on the lower outside edge. Just be sure to put a drop or two of super glue on the rim of those little mirrors so they don't rattle at idle, very annoying..

I use them. Turning my head uses too much time. There's no reason to spend time glancing around and taking your eye off from the traffic ahead.

I would like to try them too, especially since I have the extenders on but does anyone know if there are ones that mount closer to the mirror without the plastic part?

thanks for reminding.. I need to get myself a pair. An essential with all the blind morons on the roads around here.
