Do I need to inspect a light trailer prior to registering in NY?

Or any other pointers on registering in NY?

I did go online and couldn't find an answer, and then I called the DMV to ask and after being on hold for good 15 min, I've had enough.

No, you register it and then you'll be given a ten day temp inspection sticker so you can get it inspected.

yeah glad Chief knew, I registered mine in VA no inspections and taxes are already paid for life ($75)

I live in NY and have NEVER had my trailers inspected. OOPS-- shhhh---don't tell!
