Difference between 1st & 2nd generation Hayabusa (hope to transfer sidecar)

I hope someone will have an answer to the following. I currently have a 2003 Hayabusa with RDS Neptune sidecar but am considering purchasing a very low mile 2011 Busa and transferring the sidecar to the new bike. My question is what are the differences in the frames, front forks, etc. between the first generation and second generation bike. The frame of the RDS sidecar is not your typical universal bolt to any bike sidecar. It has a sub-frame that was designed to attach to specific points on the Hayabusa frame (hopefully you can see this from the attached pictures). Just looking at the bike on the showroom floor the frame seems to be identical but even a small difference would make the transfer not possible. Also, I would need to install the removed front end, and rear wheel from the new bike onto my 2003 so my current bike could be sold. Are the fork tubes the same diameter so they would fit in my triple clamps and would the rear wheel be a direct fit? Thanks in advance for any knowledge you could provide.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturer in France? Looks like they are still in business. As far as swapping the suspension pieces they should be fine but you will have to swap the entire front end (Forks, wheels, discs etc.), not sure about the rear wheel and rotor though.
 
The manufacturer (RDS) sold the business which is now called MS-R. Little hard to correspond because of the French / English. However, when contacted by email they wrote that they had not done any for the Gen II so could not comment on whether it would be a direct fit. Yes, I had planned to remove the complete front end of the new bike and install it on my '03. Just trying to confirm if it is a straight forward swap - no difference in fork diameter, etc. Same question on the rear wheel.
 
Bummer about the contact with the new company. Did a quick google search and it looks like they have done a few Gen 2's so theres hope.

Here is a copy of the email received from MS-R when I asked them about the compatibility. "I bought rds there two years. I have yet to make a side car with hayabusa
I do not know if the two chassis of the bike are different. but you must realized the change without much modification." I too saw the picture of the Neptune sidecar you provided on a second generation Hayabusa. Based on his note, the picture you and I found must have been done before he bought the business. Went by the bike shop today and looked at a new one - with the fairing on the bike it is really hard to get an idea or even measure if things would line up. Still looking for someone that can provide a definitive answer.

from all the research i have done, the main frame is the same. the sub-frame on the other hand is not the same. it mounts up to the main frame a little differently.

And here I thought the Gen II's had a 1340 motor. ???

And some of the other things like exact weight etc looks fishy. ???
 
The exact weight of the machine is dry weight gang. As for the rest of the spec other then engine they are correct. The engine and wieght specs on the other hand are odd....i didnt write any of that stuff myself. it was copied from here....

The Sidecar is pictured above is legit, but why do you need the car tire in the front ? I think it takes away from the look of the bike and most sidecars i've seen use the standard tire, perhaps a linked front brake on the sidecar via an extended brake line would increase braking so that way you can keep it clean and beautiful with the factory wheel and tire setup!!
