Copywrite Protection On SpeedTV..

Forever I've recorded bike races and such to watch at my leisure (and skip through commercials). Had to exchange my dish and receiver (DirecTV) yesterday to comply with the different satellite they are using now, and suddenly "you can't record copywrite protected movies" when I go to record a race.
Anybody else have this happen? Anything I can do about it? I sent DirecTV and email, but not really looking for much help from them.

Yeah, sometimes it seems that. But, they're better than Dish and the local cable company. The lesser of the evils.

Use a VCR.

Tried that after I posted this and it works on it. That may be the option for the moment.

I have not even had a VCR for the past 10 years. Probably forgot how to turn them on.

I've still got one. Was looking back through my tapes and am finding races from the 990 days when Rossi was with Honda, the Gravel plow (Sete Gibernau) was still on the front row, and John Hopkins was riding the 'Zuk.
