coolant

I have a 2012 Hayabusa What is the capacity on the radiator? and what kind of coolant would you recommend? From Florida. thanks.

2 quarts + 22 oz is what I used.

If you flush first, it's hard to get the distilled water/coolant ratio perfect. It's better if you can find a coolant that's not premixed. I'd stick with Suzuki coolant.

@Aces High

the manual says at page 0A-5 that you would need 2950 ml of new coolant.
but in real i never got more than around 2500 ml (milli liters) into the entire system.
so i guess the 2950 is the value when motor was completely dry (after a disassembling).

self mixing
see also same page -
qoutation:
Mixing of anti-freeze/engine coolant should
be limited to 60%. Mixing beyond it would
reduce its efficiency. If the anti-freeze/engine
coolant mixing ratio is below 50%, rust
inhabiting performance is greatly reduced.
Be sure to mix it above 50% even though the
atmospheric temperature does not go down
to the freezing point.

i myself buy ´n use always the 50:50 pre-mixed coolant from the spare parts dealer and i never had any issues.

and whoever thinks 100% glycol is oprimal is seriously wrong or endangers his engine in the long term.
- the frost protection is definitely a lot lower than with a mix with water.
- the cooling performance goes down massively, because
a. the pump can no longer circulate this viscosity properly - the circulation volume drops drastically
b. the heat transfer coefficient of pure glycol is much worse than a mix with water, the cooling performance of the radiator also drops massively
