??? I was asking the pilot.
The amazing part I thought was that the turbine engine weighs just under 200 lbs and makes 425 HP.
The owner of the company has 16 of these helicopters and is currently fitting one of these motors into a boat.......yeeee haaaaaa.
Wonder how fast the Bus would be with one.

Damn, that's fast for a CPL ... took me over two years to get there ...

Nice chopper ... did ya go for a ride?

Btw: you'll find that most turbine engines are very light, because they are practically hollow. And it doesn't take a big one to produce shitloads of torque ...

I had five hours flying the MD 500 Defender when I left Corpus Christi in 1990. It's the same helicopter but a different version and made when the company was own MD.

I was a twin engine Huey pilot at the time. UH-1N.

The 500 is a incredibly fun Helo to fly.

Fun with "chopper" I was hoping you were going to drop one from height....you know a "chopper" HeHe...Pic's of the aftermath...

Might have something to do with his dad owning the company....I don't know.
No I didn't go for a ride, had to much work to do after he left.
He'll be back in three weeks though and said any ntime I want to........
