There is documented evidence that the former president tried to tear down what the White House stands for when he didn't try to shut down the insurrection on Jan 6th. When he told them "they tried" and he professed his admiration and love for them, that should have been a sign to all the sane people of the US that he was not the right one to be leading a free nation.
