the clutch assembly is the same for all Gen1's the Gen2 assembly is different. The clutch fiber and steels are interchangeable. I use Gen2 fibers and steels in my Gen1 assembly. The Gen2 fibers have more total friction surface then the gen1.

yes, if you're replacing the entire cluctch assembly and clutches from a newer gen1 in to your 99/00 gen 1 it would bolt right in with no issues.
