cleaning stains off stock exhaust cans?

Still have the stock brushed/machined aluminum cans on my 2007 Busa, but there are stains on them that don't want to come off.

I've tried:
* Car wax
* Auto polishing compound
* Spray on cleaner for mag aluminum wheels
* Brasso
* Abrasive aluminum polish

Of those, the last works the best, but it starts to polish the machined aluminum surface too much.

Any ideas how to get stains out of the brushed aluminum?

I let the pipes heat up, then use a thin razor to gently scrape the residue off. Also I have read many positive reviews about this product

to get stuff off the pipes the ez off is the way to go for sure
