Cinche knot

This might be a stupid question but are you guys using a cinche knot when you tie down your bikes for travel with the double end loop strap?

I have chrome rear foot pegs and hangers I dont really want to make a cinche noose around them and tighten the heck out of them, afraid they my peel or something.

Anyone have a pic of the different tie down loops they use on the rear footpegs with the double ended loop straps? Kinda nervous not to use the cinche knot but dont want to take the chance of chrome bubble, or peeling.

I have tied down mine around the top of the rear wheel. Hope this helps. This will allow the rear suspention to still work.

We have used the rear footpegs when we are hauling a bike over a short distance. We do wrap the footpeg pretty well so we don't do any damage to it.
