Chrome forks leaking from stanchion

Chrome forks leaking from stanchion. Any advice would be appreciated replacing the forks is the last option.
We're gonna need a better description than that.
Can you post up some pics?
Which part of the forks is leaking?
From the seals?
From the damping rod cap screw bolt at the bottom of the fork?

It's a gen 1 seals where just done. Leaking up from bottom where the lower tube goes into the fork foot.

Odd failure, but if I had to guess I would say that whoever rebuilt forks didn't put a new copper crush washer (#9 on microfiche) on the damper bolt in the bottom of the fork leg. Either that or bolt not torqued.

The copper washer is way below the leak here, seals need to be replaced

I have had brand new seals leak. Sometimes they just don't seat properly. Dealer redid them and no problems with the second set. Happens

Why did you say chrome, are they not stock?

Yes there stock but there chrome. The shop that did the seals are saying because they are chrome thats the reason for the leak. The foot where the axle and the brake caliper bolts up should have never been taken apart and chromed but I see a lot of Busas out here with chrome forks just wondering has anyone else experienced this problem and if so what's the solution to this problem.
