Wow this has been a tough week for the CHP, another motor officer down and this time he didn't make it.

A California Highway Patrol officer has died as a result of a crash this morning during a pursuit near Alabama Street and San Bernardino Avenue in Redlands, according to the CHP.
Several people have been arrested in connection with the fatal crash, according to police.
"There were at least two (traffic collisions) during the pursuit," Redlands police spokesman Carl Baker said shortly before 7:30 a.m. "One of (the crashes) involved the CHP motor officer."
A San Bernardino County coroner's spokesman confirmed that the officer was killed during the incident that occurred about 6:30 a.m. The area is northwest of Interstate 10 and I-210 in Redlands.
No other details have been released, though there also has been police activity at nearby Citrus Plaza.
