It really depends a lot on the rider. I'm semi aggressive, do twisties and city riding and my orginals have 12.5K and look good for 18K

What did ya replace them with

I did 7000 miles in 2 weeks and they looked just like they did when I left.
Its not the quantity of miles that does that, its where and how your riding.

I have over 25000 on my original pads.... Yes 25k miles on the originals. I guess I do not stop or slow down much...

I still have the original rear brakes.
101k miles. No trail braking.

Down shifting to slow down while banging off the rev limiter in 6th gear doesn't really work out to well for me.
